Obituary

Phillip Neely ornery and quick-witted family man, died peacefully on Monday, March 1st, 2021, at the age of 63, in Stockton CA. He was born on September 15, 1957, in Seattle Washington, and was raised in Stockton, CA. Phillip graduated from East Union High School in 1976, in Manteca.



He is survived by his beloved dogs Honey and Buddy, whom he cherished, best friend-wife, Veronica Neely, daughter, Wendi Casillas, and spouse Jesus Casillas, daughter, Monica Aleman and spouse Jose Aleman, son, Phillip J. Neely & spouse Mayra Fuentes. Phillip had 9 grandchildren, and 1 great-granddaughter, all of whom he adored. He is also survived by his mother, Ruth Neely, sister Debbie Keaster, and brother, Ron Neely. Phillip is preceded in death by his father, Everett Neely.



Phillip was employed by Teichert Construction under the Laborers Local 73 General Laborers Union for 25 years until he retired in 2003. For the last 10 years, Phillip was a caretaker to his mother, Ruth. His wife Veronica will take on the caretaker role in his remembrance and support.



Above all, he loved his family and dogs, who will miss him greatly.



Service Information



Phillip and Veronica will have been married 45 years on 3/20/21. In celebration of his life, the kind-hearted and sassy spirit will be remembered on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at East Union Cemetery, located at 1035 N Union Rd, Manteca, CA 95336 at 1 pm.



There will be no visitation, rather a celebration of life and burial. All who knew Phil are welcome and encouraged to attend in support of the family. All COVID precautions will be in place, with proper face coverings and social distancing.



As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions or flowers may be sent to Veronica Neely at 3655 Sunny Rd, Stockton, CA 95215.
