Joseph Daniel Templin, Jr. (known by his friends a “J.R.” and “Jr.”, born 12/14/1963 died peacefully, but unexpectedly on Friday, 02/26/2021 at 4:45 p.m. at the San Joaquin General Hospital within the San Joaquin County area of French Camp, California at the young age of 57 years old due to complications from a motor vehicle side-swiping him while in a bike lane on his bike the evening of 01/12/2021. Joe was born at the San Jose Valley Medical Center in San Jose California on 12/14/1963 to Martha Catherine Templin (O’Neal) and Joseph Daniel Templin and attended local area schools in Los Gatos, California and Campbell California (attending Campbell High School 1978 - 1981). Preceding him in death are his father, Joseph Daniel Templin and his favorite Aunt, Pauline Elizabeth O’Neal-Lehman. Joe leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother, Martha Catherine O’Neal-Templin (Eddie Glaser), his two adult sons: (1) Michael James Templin (“Kojak”) of San Jose, California and (2) Joseph Daniel Templin, III of Grants Pass, Oregon; three brothers: (1) Walter Templin of Lathrop, California; (2) Robert Lee O’Neal of St. Cloud, Minnesota; and (3) Kyle Scott Templin of Meridian, Idaho; five sisters: (1) Tracellen Templin-Kelly (Paul) of Eureka Springs, Arkansas); (2) Lisa Jean Templin-Mathews of Campbell, California; (3) Robin Michelle O’Neal-French (David) of Buffalo, Minnesota; and (4) Nicole Templin-Rose (Josh) of Meridian, Idaho, as well as special extended family members and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. From the minute Joe was born to the moment he took his last breath, there is that little time in between it all that we call life. Joe loved working on cars and plumbing, he worked as a plumber for nearly 30 years. He and his mother were best friends. Joe loved country and rock music, and especially loved and dedicated his life to helping stray animals, ending up with four cats of his own at the time of his passing: (1) Little Man, (2) Chelsea, (3) Socks and (4) Fireball. He loved to spoil his babies with special foods (including fresh meats) and all the love and compassion he could give. Joe will be missed dearly for the kind and gracious host he was to his family in Minnesota. Now he gets to be with his Aunty Pauline and other family that have since passed. Funeral arrangements have been made and services will be held at the Park View Funeral Home, 3661 French Camp Road, Manteca, CA 95336 on Friday, 03/12/2021 at 1:00 p.m. with a short reception to follow.
