David S. Greene

August 30, 1939 – December 18, 2020

David was born in Oakland, CA. He went home to be with the Lord, December 18, 2020, and to
Celebrate Jesus’ birthday in Heaven. He looked forward to reuniting with his Dad, Grandpa, Aunts,
Uncles, and Friends that had gone before him.

In September 2017 David was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer. Anyone that knew him knew he
was a fighter. He fought long and hard until the very end, surviving three years two and a half months.
And making it to the fine age of 81!

Most of David’s life he resided in the Bay Area, growing up in Oakland and Alameda. He attended
Oakland High School. He was proud to serve his country in the Marine Corps for six years. And later,
attended Chabot College, taking various Business and Administration of Justice classes. David ran for
City Council twice and came close to being elected both times.

David was an employee of General Motors in Fremont, CA for 18 years. He held various positions and
the one he loved the most was being elected as a Committee Man, representing 5,000 General Motors
employees with the UAW. He said recently that position was perfect for his personality! After his time
with General Motors he held various positions, mostly in the Silicon Valley area, until retirement.

Interests throughout his life were Martial Arts, Boating, Fishing, Raising Pigeons, Collecting Cars,
Working on Cars, Roadster Shows, Corvettes, Tap Plastic models, Flea Markets, Photography, Politics,
Astronomy, Religion, Reading, Gardening, and learning about the Medical field. He enjoyed watching 60
Minutes, Nova, and the History Channel. He was an avid fan of Bruce Li and James Bond movies. The
movies that always made him laugh the most were Home Alone and Home Alone 2.

Per David’s request, no Services are planned.

He will be missed dearly.
