Tammy L Meeker-Ricketts died peacefully at Dameron Hospital on March 3rd, 2019 in Stockton, California at the age of 59.
Tammy is survived by her husband, Larry (Buzz) Matthew Ricketts; daughter, Lynn Frances Meeker-Bell; grandchildren Tammy Lee Frances Bell and Matthew Mark Steven Bell of Stockton, California. She is preceded in death by her mother Roberta Frances Langford, and her sister Dixie Lee Langford.
Tammy was born on November 14th, 1959 in Lakeport, California to Roberta Frances Langford. She graduated from Walden University in 2012 with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) graduate degree. She was introduced to Buzz on July 6th, 1993. After many wonderful years together, Tammy and Buzz were joined in marriage on November 23rd, 2003 and resided in Stockton, California. She is remembered by loved ones as a beautiful, intelligent, driven, and talented mother and grandmother who encouraged them to pursue their goals.
Tammy was passionate about her family. She was also accomplished in music and singing, and enjoyed sharing the gift of her beautiful voice with others. She had a great love of the outdoors and enjoyed long camping trips with her family, oftentimes visiting Lake Camanche, and the PiPi Valley in the El Dorado National Forrest. She and Buzz prioritized quality time together, and created lasting memories through traveling and sightseeing.
Tammy was a dedicated individual who loved working in the medical field. She took great pride in educating and mentoring others, and was an instrumental creator of the Paramedic/EMT Training Program at St. Joseph’s Hospital, which is still in use today. Tammy was a generous donor to many non-profit organizations, both locally and internationally. She enjoyed sharing her loving heart and spirit with others.
In life Tammy demonstrated unwavering love and strength, providing a legacy that her family and loved ones will cherish forever.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for March, 08 2019 at 2:30pm at Park View Funeral Home & Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tammy's life. Pastor Stephen Kihlthau will officiate the ceremony.
