Joseph Dennison Parolini was born in Porterville, California on February 7, 1967. At the age of three, Joe and his family moved to the Turlock area. He learned to milk goats, ride horses, raise sheep, rabbits, chickens and pigs and to grow vegetables.
As a child, ever the companion of his younger brother Ben, and the torment of his older sisters, Joe was never afraid to try anything or fix anything. Early in life, Joe was taught the responsible use of guns and spent many years hunting with his brother, father, and friends. He became an avid bow hunter for large and small game.
Joe joined Sacred Heart 4-H club at nine and remained in the club until he graduated from high school. He raised sheep and pigs. He also participated at Turlock High School in the Ag Mechanics program, earning regional honors with his fellow students.
While Joe was in high school, he worked at Valchris and Starrs Auto Parts. Joe graduated from Turlock High School in 1985. In 1987, Joe went to work for Save Mart Supermarkets where he worked until his death. Save Mart wasn’t just a job to Joe. It was a place where he had a second family - a place where he loved to be. His co-workers and customers became lifelong friends.
Joe had two daughters, Katie and Jodie, and a stepson, Michael. He took an active part in raising his girls and enriching their lives through 4-H, sports, and outdoor activities. Joe was a leader in the Chatom 4-H club.
Joe had many lifelong friends who were constant and true. To list them all would be impossible, but all are much appreciated.
Joe passed away on February 3, 2019. He is survived by his parents Pauline and Dennison Parolini, daughters Katie and Jodie, stepson Mike, siblings Anne Anderson and husband Tom, Karen Pedras and her husband Frank, Ben Parolini and his wife Kirsten, Cindae Hull and her husband John, four step grandchildren, Montana, Jacob, Harley and Rowan Willey, many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
